GET TO KNOW US

Our Story

Beyond Borders Indonesia did not begin in a boardroom or a policy document. It began with a journey — to the outermost islands, the land border crossings, the classrooms and fishing villages where Indonesia's story is written in its most honest form.

Beyond Borders Indonesia was founded on that conviction in 2021. What began as a small community of like-minded people concerned about border regions has grown into a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action — spanning tourism, economy, and education, and reaching communities across provinces and 50 + border districts and remote regions of the Indonesian archipelago.

We are small by design and strategic by choice, built on the conviction that deep, sustained networking creates the kind of change that large-scale interventions often miss. The frontier is not the end of Indonesia. In our work, it is where the real story begins.
